| Poem #7: Ending at the Start (Once again, based on B5x22, "The Gift") - 3/9/05
All the choices hers to make With everything she had at stake Reluctant friends waiting below Knowing she wouldn't let it go Using her heart, not her head She would lose it all instead Maybe she'd find peace at last As reward for the selfless task For once she was on her own She chose to take the fall alone She'd once held the weight of the world And they'd all forgotten she was just a girl
| Okay, sorry I haven't updated, but I haven't been able to put anything into (poetic) words. There's a thing that happened and it was kinda sudden, so I've been trying to get it into poem form. But till then:
Poem #6: Left - 2/16/05
How could you just walk out On everything you cared about? Don't tell me it's because of you That is just a lame excuse You told me I was your number one So why were we so quickly done? Never knew pain until now And to stop it, only you know how So I write the letters that will never be sent Because I'll never know where you went
I originally just wrote that one around the last two lines but then it kinda started to sound like "Wild at Heart" so I call it "partially based on". Anyway, I'll try to update more often.
| Here are two more poems from my notebook:
Poem #4: I'm Sorry - 2/18/05
I want to say I'm sorry to you Maybe I was wrong too I am such a hypocrite Sorry will not cover it Sell the anger, go back in time Yet another written rhyme Offering forgiveness to you Under the circumstance you'll love me too
(If you look closely at that poem, you'll notice something a little extra.)
Poem #5: Dare to Dream - 2/21/05
Please don't think I'm out of line Because of what comes to mind I dare to dream about the two of us So in the real world, I don't make a fuss A first glance into each other's eyes A first embrace - of any size A first laugh, a first smile I'm willing to go the extra miles You can take the dream from there How far do you dream, how far do you dare?
| Here are some out of the notebook I've been keeping:
Poem #3: The Gift (based on B5x22 "The Gift") 2/3/05
The end was finally here A death was soon to appear For her the bells seemed to toll To let others live was her goal But this end, big sis wouldn't allow She'd fix it someway, somehow Even if the cost was her life She had to make the sacrifice With time running out, she had to go With little sister crying no With a final kiss goodbye She told her not to cry But to live out life as she would Death was her gift, she understood She committed the sacraficial act Little sister cried to bring her back But it was over, big sis was done By then dawn had just begun She just stared with her friends around At her everything, lifeless on the ground Tears spoke the words they couldn't say They'd just have to try to be brave But there was something no one could know Her sister was gone, but where'd she go?
Hehe, did you see that little dawn - or should I say Dawn reference I snuck in there? That's the first poem in my notebook and there'll be more. Comment please!
